Soaring Upwards - APU awarded 5-STAR Excellent Rating at SETARA 2017

APU was announced as among the Highest Rated Emerging Universities in Malaysia, being rated at 5-STAR (EXCELLENT Rating) under the SETARA 2017 Ratings by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). APU has maintained this Excellent Rating in the SETARA 2011, 2013 and now in 2017. SETARA 2017 5-Star Rating was presented by the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, YB Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh.

Asia Pacific University (APU) received international recognition by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) in 2017 with APU being awarded 5-Star in four categories of the QS Stars Rating - Teaching, Employability, Facilities and Inclusiveness. The QS Stars rating measures achievements of universities worldwide.

QS Stars is a international rating system which allows students to better understand an institution's qualities, looking at everything from the employability of graduates, to sports facilities and community engagement.

APU was awarded the Premier Digital Tech University status by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). Premier Digital Tech University status was awarded by the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, YB Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh. Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (A Christian Minority Institution) formerly known as Sathyabama Engineering College was established in 1987 by Dr. Jeppiaar. It is a premier institute imparting knowledge in the areas of engineering, science, technology and education. The institution's progress and contribution to the field of technical education for over two decades resulted in granting Deemed University status on 16th July, 2001. The University has been awarded as Category "A" University by Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India and accredited by NAAC with Grade "A" in the year 2017, certified with DNV-GL ISO 9001 standard and offering exemplary education from last 29 years.

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology with the holy blessings of founder chancellor Colonel Dr. JEPPIAAR, and under the guidance of Tmt. Untiring efforts staff, students and management and positive academic ambience prevailed in the campus had made University to be ranked as 2nd among Private Universities in Tamilnadu by National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. University also declared as one among the top 31 deemed to be Universities by the Times Higher Education Ranking.

The Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed to be University) offeres 27 programmes at UG level and 41 programmes at PG level in all disciplines. We have excellent infrastructure facilities including modern laboratories, library with multimedia facilities, internet and other general amenities. Holds great promise to expand the applications of space technology, benefiting the common man and enriching the quality of life in association with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). We have written a special page in the history of space research on 22nd June, 2016 with the launch of “SATHYABAMASAT” in association with ISRO.
